Another Successful Planting Day

Updated: Jun 20, 2022

Thanks to those who were able to attend the public planting day on Sunday, 27 June.

It was a superb effort with more than 1000 plants planted in only 2 and a half hours a "world record in Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands" I think. And well planted too! It wasn't easy planting, a lot of it was in compacted soil and often also poor soil. Even better, there were no showers of rain.

By the end of this planting season close to 20,000 native plants of 60 species will have been planted along Wairoa stream.
